Google search results previewer (SERP Preview)

Google search results (SERPs) are the first impression users have of your website. The title, meta description, and URL determine whether a user clicks on your result or your competitor's. Optimizing these elements can double or triple your click-through rate.

Google displays approximately 60 characters of the title on desktop and 55 on mobile. For meta descriptions, about 155 characters on desktop and 120 on mobile. Our previewer shows exactly how your result will look.

Length indicators alert you with colors: green when within the limit and red when exceeding it. The URL is formatted as breadcrumbs, matching Google's current format.

Frequently asked questions

How many characters should the title have?

Google displays between 50 and 60 characters of the title, depending on character width (uppercase letters and W are wider than lowercase and i). As a general rule, keep your title under 60 characters to avoid truncation.

Does Google always use the meta description I write?

Not always. Google may generate its own snippet if it considers the page content more relevant to the user's search. However, writing a good meta description significantly increases the chances that Google will use it as-is.

Is the preview 100% accurate?

The preview is a very close approximation to how Google currently renders results. However, Google may apply special formatting (bold on matching words, date, etc.) and adjust the layout, so there may be slight differences.
